Daktarin Cream is an over the counter remedy for fungal infections such as athlete’s foot. It’s perfect for those who are suffering from a fungal infection and are looking for an effective solution that will get to work fast. Daktarin 2% cream contains the active ingredient microzale nitrate which works to destroy the fungus that causes the infection as well as any associated bacteria that might be present. This soothing cream is easy to apply and won't cause any unnecessary stinging or discomfort.
Active ingredient: Miconazole Nitrate 2% w/w. Other ingredients: PEG-6, PEG-32, Glycol Stearate, Oleoyl Macroglycerides, Liquid Paraffin, E210, E320, Water.
Fungal infections of the skin: Apply some cream to the lesions two times daily. Rub the cream into the skin with your finger until it has fully penetrated. If the powder is used with the cream, a once daily application of both formulations is recommended. The duration of therapy varies from 2 to 6 weeks depending on the localisation and the severity of the lesion. Treatment should be continued at least one week after disappearance of all signs and symptoms.
Nail infections: Apply the cream once or twice daily to the lesions. Treatment should be prolonged for 10 days after all lesions have disappeared to prevent relapse.
For external use only, do not swallow, avoid contact with eyes. If you do get this cream into your eyes, rinse immediately with clean water, keeping your eyes open as you do.
- Do Not use Daktarin 2% Cream if you are allergic to any other ingredients.
- Contact your doctor before using if you are taking oral anticoagulants (blood thinners), you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- If irritation occurs, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
- Always keep out of sight and reach of children.
