The active substance is salbutamol sulfate.
The other ingredient is lactose (which contains milk protein).
Please use the inhaler exactly as prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Dosage:
The typical way to use it is:
- 1 or 2 puffs of the inhaler as required (when you need it)
- up to a maximum of 4 times in 24 hours (regardless of whether you have 1 puff or 2 puffs at a time)
When used as a preventative measure, the normal dose remains at 1 or 2 puffs at a time.
If you need to use your inhaler more than 4 times in 24 hours, it may mean that your condition is getting worse and that you need an alternative treatment and you are also more likely to experience side effects such as:
- increased heart rate
- jitteriness
- nervousness
- headaches
Do not use Easyhaler Salbutamol:
- if you are allergic to salbutamol or the other ingredient of this medicine, which is lactose (which contains small amounts of milk protein)
- if you unexpectedly go into early labour (premature labour) or threatened abortion
Talk to your doctor, nurse or pharmacist before using Easyhaler Salbutamol if you have any of the following:
- any diseases affecting the heart or blood vessels
- any infection in your lungs
- overactivity of the thyroid gland
- low levels of potassium in your blood
- diabetes
- hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose
- malabsorption, you should not take this medicine.
Contact your doctor immediately if:
- you need to use this reliever inhaler more often than usual
- you need to use this more than twice a week
- your wheeziness or chest tightness is worse than usual
