New Medicines Service
Whether you’ve recently been diagnosed with a condition, or been living with it for some time, it’s natural to want to know more information about any new medication prescribed by your doctor. While your GP will always offer direction on how and when the medicine should be taken, you may want to know more about the medicine to understand what it is, what it does, and any possible side effects which could occur as a result of taking the medicine.
The New Medicines Service (NMS) offered by iPharm is an advanced NHS service which allows anybody living in England, with one of the eligible long-term illnesses highlighted below, to arrange a video call with our medically trained pharmacist to discuss their medication and any ask questions they may have. The aim of the New Medicine Service is to offer you peace of mind in regard to the medication you are taking and allow you to make informed decisions regarding your health.
The New medicine Service is available to patients living in England suffering with the following conditions: Asthma and COPD, Diabetes (Type 2), Hypertension, Hypercholesterolaemia, Osteoporosis, Gout, Glaucoma, Epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, Urinary incontinence/ retention, Heart failure, Acute coronary Syndromes, Stoke and transient ischemic attack, Coronary Heart Disease, Atrial Fibrillation, Long term risks of venous thromboembolism/ embolism.

We offer a New Medicines Service to all patients who have nominated iPharm as their chosen pharmacy, this service means that if you’ve recently been diagnosed with a new long-term condition or have been living with it for some time, you can find out everything that you want to know about your new or existing medication.
The New Medicine Service is available to all patients registered with iPharm who have been diagnosed with a long-term illness from the list below:

You can arrange an appointment with our pharmacist by filling out this form and requesting a new medicines service appointment, once your request is submitted our team will be in contact to arrange a date that will be suitable for you.
